Fernwell Health saw a 340% increase in citations across ChatGPT, Perplexity, and Google AI Overviews within 90 days of Tyfig restructuring their site around answer-first content, question-phrased headers, and FAQPage/Article schema markup.
The challenge
Fernwell Health ranked reasonably well in traditional Google search but was almost never cited when customers asked ChatGPT or Perplexity comparable questions — the content existed, but it wasn't structured for AI systems to lift and trust.
What Tyfig did
We ran a full technical AEO audit, then restructured Fernwell's 22 highest-traffic pages with answer-first summaries, question-phrased H2/H3 headings, and Organization, Service, and FAQPage schema markup. We also updated their robots.txt to explicitly allow citation-driving crawlers like PerplexityBot and OAI-SearchBot, and published an llms.txt file indexing their most authoritative pages.
The result
Within 90 days, tracked AI citations across ChatGPT, Perplexity, and Google AI Overviews increased 340%, and inbound leads mentioning "found you through ChatGPT" or similar became a regular occurrence in Fernwell's sales conversations.
